Tomahawk Tools.

An offline tools brand with a dormant online store: ₹1,000 a day in budget, 5+ ROAS, and ₹2 lakhs a month in revenue to show for it.

Peak ROAS

Blended across Shopping and Performance Max campaigns.

Ad revenue / month
₹2L+

From a channel that previously contributed zero revenue.

Daily ad budget
₹1K

About $14 a day, a tight ceiling for the tools category on Google.

The challenge

Expensive products, a tiny budget, and zero online track record.

The business

Tomahawk Tools is an established Indian brand selling power tools, hand tools, garden equipment, and cleaning machinery, primarily through offline retail.

They had an e-commerce presence, but it was effectively dormant. The online channel existed on paper; it wasn't generating meaningful revenue despite a real product catalogue and an active offline customer base.

What made it hard

The product range sits at the higher end. Power tools and heavy equipment are priced where a single bad campaign decision gets expensive fast, so a positive ROAS here demands precision, not experimentation.

Then there's the budget: ₹1,000 a day. For the tools category on Google, where brands regularly spend ₹10K+ daily, that's a genuinely tight constraint. A generic campaign approach would burn through it on unqualified traffic and produce nothing.

Daily ad budget

  • Typical category spend₹10K+ / day
  • Tomahawk Tools₹1K / day

Brands in the tools category regularly spend ₹10K+ a day on Google. Tomahawk had a tenth of that.

The approach

Precision over reach. The budget demanded it.

  1. Step 01

    Shopping + Performance Max

We led with Shopping campaigns to capture high-intent buyers already searching for what Tomahawk sold. Performance Max expanded reach across Google's full inventory while keeping purchase intent as the primary signal.

  2. Step 02

    Top-of-funnel discovery

The goal was net-new customer acquisition: getting Tomahawk in front of buyers who didn't know the brand but were actively in the market for tools. Not retargeting. Not branded search. Pure discovery.

  3. Step 03

    Learn first, scale second

With ₹1,000/day, every rupee had a job. We treated the opening phase as a learning sprint, finding which product lines and intent signals converted before concentrating budget on the winners.

The catalogue

Four product lines, one tight budget.

The results

Profitable from launch. Built to hold.

5+

ROAS at peak

Hit early and held. A 5+ blended ROAS on ₹1,000/day, across expensive products, in a category where generic approaches consistently underperform.

₹2L+

Revenue / month

From ₹0 in online ad revenue to ₹2 lakhs+ per month: a functional paid acquisition channel built from scratch, on a budget most agencies would turn away.

ROAS trend, campaign performance over time

When ROAS settled to 3–4x later on, the business stayed profitable. The product margins were healthy enough that even a conservative ROAS kept the machine running, and that's exactly what we had designed for.

What this proves

Search volume is the only qualifier Google Ads needs.

Tomahawk isn't a trendy product. It's not in a high-glamour category. Power tools are decidedly unglamorous: priced above impulse range, sold primarily offline, and rarely the subject of viral marketing. None of that disqualified it from Google Ads success.

The demand was already there. People search for drills, angle grinders, and pressure washers every day. Our job was to build a campaign structure efficient enough to capture that intent within a tight budget, and hold the performance over time.

If there's real search demand for what you sell, Google Ads can convert it into revenue. The constraint isn't the platform. It's the strategy.
